Frequently Asked Questions

Is real money involved?

No. FGC Bets uses virtual coins only. You cannot deposit, withdraw, or win real money. Every coin is simulated for entertainment purposes.

How do I get started?

Sign in with your Google or Discord account and you'll receive 1,000 free coins instantly. Open any live or upcoming tournament bracket to place your first bet.

What happens when I run out of coins?

Reach out to us via Discord or the Contact page and we'll top you up. A self-serve daily coin refill is coming soon.

How are odds calculated?

Odds are based on each player's Elo rating (built from start.gg tournament history), head-to-head records, and character matchup data. The heavier the favourite, the lower the payout multiplier.

What is Elo?

Elo is a rating system that measures competitive strength. Every time a player wins a set they gain points; every loss costs points. A higher Elo means a stronger overall tournament track record.

When does my bet resolve?

Bets resolve automatically once the match result is reported on start.gg — usually within minutes of the set finishing. Our cron job syncs results every minute during live events.

Can I bet on matches that haven't started yet?

Yes! You can place pre-tournament bets on upcoming brackets. Odds may shift as the event progresses.

Which games are supported?

We support all major FGC titles including Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Guilty Gear: Strive, The King of Fighters XV, Marvel vs. Capcom, and many more. Non-FGC games (sports, party games, etc.) are filtered out.

Where does the tournament data come from?

All bracket and player data is pulled live from start.gg, the official bracket platform used by the FGC. We sync active events every minute.

How do I report a bug or wrong result?

Jump into our Discord or use the Contact page. Please include the tournament name and match details so we can investigate quickly.
